School Security Product Profile

The safety and security of their students and staff was a growing concern for Ken Donovan, Assistant Director of Maintenance for the Stonington Public School System in Old Mystic, Connecticut. With the mechanical lock and key system they had in place there was no effective way to control and audit access to their buildings. They needed accountability so that when incidents occurred they would know who was there and when they were there. Donovan began looking for ways to raise the level of their security. It was during this time that he read about the CyberLock system. Later, he went to a conference where one of the instructors spoke about CyberLock. A few months after that, when the principal had some security issues and asked for a solution, Donovan had the answer.
