Today's school facility maintenance should include the cleaning of the acoustical ceiling tile instead of replacement or worse yet, painting. Why you ask, because just like carpets, acoustical ceiling tile accumulate dirt, grease, dust, odors and other unsanitary pollutants which bond themselves to the acoustical ceilings through the thermal air currents causing the ceiling to become stained, unpleasant to the eye, and unhealthy if left untreated.

Green Seal, Inc. has announced that three cleaning services, in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Washington, have been awarded certification under GS-42, its environmental standard for green cleaning services that help protect human health and the environment. After a stringent application process and an on-site audit, three major US cleaning services are now licensed to provide a Green Seal-certified service to their customers.

In order to reduce annual energy costs, the Gregory-Portland School District in Portland, Texas has hired TAC to implement a facility management system district-wide.
